Answer :

Let the fraction be x/y

According to question

=  x +y +3 = 2y

=  x= y = -3.................(1)

Also

=  x-1/y-1 = y/2y = 1/2

=  x-1 = (y-1)/2

=   x= [(y-1) / 2 ] +1

=    x = (y+1 )/2

=   2x = y+1

=   2x-y = 1................(2)

Now

Substituting the value of 1 and 2

we will get

=  2(y-3)- y = 1

=  2y-6 -y = 1

=  y-6 = 1

=  y = 1+6

=  y = 7

=  x= y-3

=  x = 7-3

=  x = 4

So the fraction is x/y = 4/7

Ans :-  The fraction is 4/7
