Given:- Sum of the numerator and denominator=12.
Let the denominator be x.
Then, numerator=12-x.
New denominator=x+3.

12-x/x+3=1/2
when this equation is solved , we get the value of x=7.
Then, the denominator=x=7.
Numerator=12-x=12-7=5.
Therefore, fraction=5/7.
