So the numerator = x-12

Three is added to denominator

then denominator becomes =x+3

ATQ.(According to question )

x-12/x+3=1/2

2 (x-12)=x+3

2x-24=x+3

2x-x=3+24

x=27

So the fraction is x-12/x+3

=15/27

=5/9
