Do the following-
Let the numerator be X and denominator be y.
According to the question,
X+y = 8 ------ equation 1
Now,
X+3 + y+3 = 3\4 --------- equation 2

Now that u have got the two equations u can solve them by any method (substitution method, elimination method, cross multiplication method or by plotting and finding the coordinates on the graph)

let numerator = x
let denominator = y
the sum of numerator and denominator = 8
x+y=8........1
if 3 is added to x and y
x+3/y+3 = 3/4
by cross multiplication
4x +12 = 3y+9
4x-3y = (-3)....2
by 1 and 2
4x-3y = (-3)
4(x+y=8)
4x+4y = 32

4x-3y= -3
4x+4y=32
sbtract them

y= 5
putting y =5 in 1
