The sum of percent frequencies for all classes will always add up to 100

Percent frequency = (frequency / the total number of results) x 100.

I will use an example to illustrate this.

consider these frequencies

5,6, 3  8, 10

Percent frequencies will be

125/8, 75/4, 75/8, 25, 125/4

Add these;

125/8 + 75/4 + 75/8 + 25 + 125/4 = 100

The answer is 100.

The sum of the percent frequencies for all classes will always equal 100.

Let there be n frequencies such as n1, n2, n3, n4, n5…

Then, the percent frequency of n1 is given as n1/n *100.

(n1/n * 100) + (n2/n * 100) + (n3/n * 100) + (n4/n * 100) + (n5/n * 100) + ..... = 100.
