let present of son be x and present age of father be y

sum = 60

x + y = 60 -----(2)

6 years ago:

age of son = x - 6

age of father = y - 6

age of father = 5 times the age of son

(y - 6) = 5 × ( x - 6)

y - 6 = 5x - 30

y = 5x - 24 -----(2)

put value of 'y' in (1) , we get

x + (5x - 24) = 60

6x = 84 => x = 14

present age of son x = 14yrs

after 6 years:

age of son will be

= present age + 6 = 14 + 6 = 20 yrs

Answer: option (d) is correct .
