The answer is 65 years.

mah2: Please solved this full process please
SamJain: The question is more of common sense than maths really. Let the ages of the mother and daughter be x and y respectively. It is given that x+y=55 and we have to find the sum of ages after % years, i.e, (x+5)+(y+5) which is nothing but (x+y)+10=55+10=65
SamJain: *after 5 years

the sum of present ages of mother and her daughter is 55 years... so the sum of the ages of the mother and her daughter after 5 years from the present will be 55+5=60
