The sum of the radii of two circles is 140 cm and the difference of their circumferences in 88 cm.

let the two radii be R and r.

R+r=140 cm
R=140-r.......(1)
Also
2πR-2πr=88 cm
2π(R-r)=88
2π(140-r-r)=88.....( from 1)
2π(140-2r)=88
140-2r=88*(1/2)*(7/22)
140-2r=14
140-14=2r
126=2r
126/2=r
r=63

Now what r=63 in equation 1
R=140-63
R=77

Hence r=63 and R=77
