Answer :-

Given :-

  • Quadratic equation → 3x² + 0x - 7 = 0

To Find :-

  • Sum of roots

Solution :-

Method Ⅰ :-

Sum of roots of quadratic equation = -b/a

→ 3x² + 0x - 7 = 0

For the given equation :-

  • a = 3
  • b = 0

Sum of roots = 0 / 3 = 0

Method II :-

Calculating roots of the equation and than finding the sum :-

→ 3x² - 7 = 0

→ 3x² = 7

→ x² = 7/3

→ x = ± 7/3

Roots = 7/3 , -7/3

Sum = 7/3 + (-7/3) = 0

Sum of roots = 0
