Let the number be A
So, if sum of the square of three consecutive natural number is 149 , then
A² + (A+1)² + (A+2)² = 149
A² + A² + 2A + 1² + A² + 4A + 2² = 149
3A² + 6A + 5 = 149
3A² + 6A + 5 - 149 = 0
3A² + 6A - 144 = 0
A² + 2A - 48 = 0
Now, by solving this equation we get ,
A = -8 or A = 6
So, if sum of the square of three consecutive natural number is 149 , then
A² + (A+1)² + (A+2)² = 149
A² + A² + 2A + 1² + A² + 4A + 2² = 149
3A² + 6A + 5 = 149
3A² + 6A + 5 - 149 = 0
3A² + 6A - 144 = 0
A² + 2A - 48 = 0
Now, by solving this equation we get ,
A = -8 or A = 6
