Let the two no.s be x and y.

A.T.Q,
x + y = 29
and y = 2x + 1
therefore,
x + 2x + 1 = 29
3x = 28
x =28/3
and y =2x + 1
y = 56/3 + 1
y = 59/3

Answer:

2  and 5 are the no

Step-by-step explanation:

ATQ

x²+y²=29 ......(1)

y=1+2x

put the value of y in eq 1

x²+(1+2x)²=29

x²+1+4x²+4x=29

⇒5x²+4x+1-29

  5x²-10x+14x-28

  5x(x-2)+14(x-2)

 5x+14=0  , x-2=0

x=-14/5  , x=2

since natural no are positive x=-14/5 is rejected

x=2  , y=1+2x

y=1+4

y=5
