SOLUTION

GIVEN

The difference between their supplementary angles is 100°

TO DETERMINE

The quantities of the angles.

EVALUATION

Let first angle = x

Another angle = x + 100°

So by the given condition

x + x + 100° = 180°

⇒ 2x + 100° = 180°

⇒ 2x = 80°

⇒ x = 40°

Hence the required angles are 40° & 140°
