so, x-8+x+x+8=888

= 3x =888

= x = 888/3 = 296

multiples= 288, 296, 304

Suppose 1st multiple=8x
2nd multiple=8(x+1)
3rd multiple=8(x+2)
Now, 8x+8(x+1)+8(x+2)=888
or,x+x+1+x+2=888/8=111
or,3x+3=111
or,3x=111-3=108
or,x=108/3=36
So 1st multiple=8×36=288
2nd multiple=8×37=296
3rd multiple=8×38=304
