SOLUTION:-

Given:

The sum of three consecutive even integers is 222.

To find:

The three Integers.

Explanation:

Let the three consecutive even integers are;

x, x+2, x+4

According to the question:

=) x+(x+2)+(x+4)= 222

=) x+ x+2 +x+4= 222

=) 3x +6 = 222

=) 3x= 222-6

=) 3x= 216

=) x= 216/3

=) x= 72

Now,

•1st number, x= 72.

•2nd number,x+2= 72+2= 74.

•3rd number,x+4 = 72+4= 76.

 \large  \underline{ \underline{ \sf \: Solution : \:  \:  \:  }}

Let , the three consecutive even integers are x , x + 2 and x + 4

By the given condition ,

\sf  \implies x + x + 2 + x + 4 = - 222 \\  \\  \sf  \implies 3x + 6 = - 222 \\  \\  \sf  \implies</p><p>3x = - 222 - 6 \\  \\  \sf  \implies</p><p>3x = - 228 \\  \\  \sf  \implies</p><p>x =  -  \frac{228}{3}  \\  \\  \sf  \implies </p><p>x = -76

 \thereforeThe required three consecutive even integers or numbers are -76 , (-76 + 2) i.e -74 , and (-76 + 4) i.e -72
