The sum of three consecutive even numbers is 108. Find the smallest and largest number.​

here's solution

108/3=36, the mean of the numbers and also the middle number

36-2=34

36+2=38

34, 36, and 38 are the numbers

3 consecutive even numbers are in AP with d = 2
First term = a
S3 = 3a + 3/2 ( 2d)
108 = 3a + ( 3x2)
102 = 3a
a = 34

So numbers are 34,36,and 38

Method above is perfect too, but if the question is regarding using AP, u may need to mention as above.
