What is Even Consective Number?

The Even Consective is a term which implies nearest even number or the successor even number.

Example - 4,6,8,10,12 ....

We can find that every even consecutive number differs by 2.

Let the smallest number be x

The next number will be x + 2

Largest number will be x + 2 + 2 = x + 4

The sum of these numbers is 138.

TO FIND :- The numbers

SOLUTION :-

x + x + 2 + x + 4 = 138

=> 3x + 6 = 138

=> 3x = 132

=> x = 44

44 is the smallest number.

Middle number will be 44 + 2 = 46.

Largest number will be 44 + 4 = 48

VERIFICATION

LHS

= 44 + 46 + 48

= 138

= RHS

HENCE LHS = RHS ; Our Answer is correct.
