Given :

➙ The sum of three consecutive even numbers is 150 .

To Find :

➙ The numbers

We Know :

➙ The difference between any two even numbers is '2'

Considering :

Let the ,

  • \sf\red{First \: number \: = \: x }
  • \sf\red{Second \: number \: = \: x + 2 }
  • \sf\red{third \: number \: = \: x + 4 }

Solution :

According to the question :

\orange{\boxed{\red{\sf{x+x+2+x+4=150}}}}

➙ 3x + 6 = 150

= 3x = 150 - 6

= 3x = 144

= x = 144 / 3

= x = 48

\therefore{\pink{\bf{➙first\: number=48}}}

\pink{\bf{➙ Second \: number = 48 + 2 = 50 }}

\pink{\bf{➙ Third \: number = 48 + 4 = 52 }}

Verification :

According to the question , sum of three consecutive even numbers is 150 . where first number = x

According to the solution , x = 48 and other two consecutive even numbers are 50 and 52 .

So , according to the question ,

48 + 50 + 52 = 150

➙ 98 + 52 = 150

➙ 150 = 150

➙ LHS = RHS
