Given:

  • Sum of three consecutive even numbers is 90.

To Find:

  • Find the number.

Solution:

Let's assume

  • Let the first number be x.
  • Let the other two numbers be (x -2),(x +2)

Here, sum of three consecutive even numbers is 90 and we have to find numbers.

According to the question,

 \: \: \sf \implies \: (x - 2) + x + (x + 2) = 90 \\ \\ \: \: \sf \implies3x = 90

After transporting we find

 \: \: \sf \implies \: \therefore x = 30

Hence,the value of x is 30.

Therefore,the numbers are:

  • First Number = x = 30
  • Second Number = (x -2) = (30 - 2) = 28
  • Third Number = (x+2) = ( 30 + 2) = 32

Prove:

 \: \: \sf \red \leadsto \: x + (x - 2) + (x + 2) = 90 \\ \\ \: \: \sf \red \leadsto \: 30 + (30 - 2) + (30 + 2) = 90 \\ \\ \: \: \sf \red \leadsto \: 30 + 28 +32 = 90 \\ \\ \: \: \sf \red \leadsto \: 90 = 90

LHS = RHS

Hence, Proved
