Given :-

  • The sum of three consecutive integers is 30.

To find :-

  • Leat number

Solution :-

Let the conservative numbers be x, (x + 1), (x + 2)

  • Sum of three consecutive numbers = 30

According to the given condition

→ x + (x + 1) + (x + 2) = 30

→ x + x + 1 + x + 2 = 30

→ 3x + 3 = 30

→ 3(x + 1) = 30

→ x + 1 = 30/3

→ x + 1 = 10

→ x = 10 - 1

→ x = 9

Hence,

  • x = 9

Therefore,

  • First number = x = 9
  • Second number = x + 1 = 10
  • Third number = x + 2 = 11

→ So least number is 9

Answer:

✳️ Given ✳️

\leadsto The sum of three consecutive integers is 30.

✳️ To Find ✳️

\leadsto What is the least number.

✳️ Solution ✳️

✒️ Let,

  • First consecutive number be x
  • Second consecutive number be (x + 1)
  • Third consecutive number will be be (x + 2)

According to the question,

\implies x + (x + 1) + (x + 2) = 30

\implies x + x + 1 + x + 2 = 30

\implies x + x + x + 1 + 2 = 30

\implies 3x + 3 = 30

\implies 3x = 30 - 3

\implies 3x = 27

\implies x = \sf\dfrac{\cancel{27}}{\cancel{3}}

\mapsto x = 9

\therefore Least number will be 9.
