Answer:

let the three multiples be x,x+2,x+4

x+(x+2)+(x+4)=18

x+x+2+x+4=18

3x+6=18

3x=12

x=4

1st multiple=4

2nd multiple=x+2=4+2=6

3rd mult6=x+4=4+4=8

Answer:

given that the sum of 3 consecutive multiples of 2 is 18

so, (x) + (x+2) + (x+4) = 18

x + x + x + 2 + 4 = 18

3x + 6 = 18

3x. = 18 -6

3x. = 12

x. = 12÷3

x. = 4

so, x =4

x + 2 = 4 +2

=6

x +4. = 4 + 4

= 8

so the numbers are 4 , 6 , 8 which are multiples of two
