the sum of three consecutive multiples of 24 is 288.find thes multiples

Let the numbers be 24a, 24a + 24 and 24a + 48

According to question,

24a + 24a + 24 + 24a + 48 = 288

=> 72a + 72 = 288

=> 72a = 216

=> a = 3

First multiple = 24 × 3 = 72

Second multiple = 72 + 24 = 96

Third multiple = 72 + 48 = 120

Let the multiples are

(24x) , (24x+24) and (24x+48)

Now,

Given that their sum is 288.

24x+24x+24+24x+48=288

72x + 72=288

72 x=288-72

72x = 216

x =216/72

x =3

Now,

Multiples are :-

24*3 =72

(24*3)+24=96

(24*3) +48=120
