Answer:

Let the number be = x, x+5,x+10

According to the question

x + x + 5 + x + 10 = 55 \\  \\  = 3x  + 15 = 555 \\  \\ 3x = 555 + 15 \\  \\   3x = 540 \\  \\ x =  \frac{540}{3}   \\ \\  x = 180

‎ ‎

So, numbers are -

\rightarrowx=180

\rightarrowx+5=185

\rightarrowx+10=190

Solution

Given :-

  • The sum of three consecutive multiples of 5 is 555.

To Find :-

  • The multiples.

Step-by-Step-Explaination :-

Let,

The first multiple be x

The second multiple be x + 5

The third multiple be x + 10

According to the question,

x + x + 5 + x + 10 = 555

3x + 15 = 555

3x = 555 - 15

3x = 540

x = 540/3

x = 180

Thus,

The value of x is 180

Therefore,

The first multiple = x = 180

The second multiple = x + 5 = 180 + 5 = 185

The third multiple = x + 10 = 180 + 10 = 190

Hence,

The three consecutive multiples of 5 are 180, 185 and 190
