Answer:

Linear Equations in One Variable

Linear Equations in One VariableLet x be a multiple of 7. ∴ The next two consecutive multiples of 7 are x + 7 and x + 7 + 7 (i.e. x + 14). Thus, the three consecutive multiples of 7 are: 14, 21 and 28.

Given:-

  • Sum of three consecutive multiples of 7 is 63.

To Find:-

  • The three multiples.

Required Response:-

Let,

The three multiples be x, x+7 & x+14

According To Sum

→\;\sf{x+(x+7)+(x+14) = 63}

→\;\sf{3x+21 = 63}

→\;\sf{3x = 63-21}

→\;\sf{x = \frac{42}{3}}

→\;\sf{x = 14}

The First Multiple[x]

  • \longmapsto\;\red{\bold{14}}

x+7

14+7

21

The Second Multiple[x+7]

  • \longmapsto\;\purple{\bold{21}}

x+14

14+14

28

The Third Multiple[x+14]

  • \longmapsto\;\green{\bold{28}}
