Solution:-

Let the three consecutive multiples be x + 8,x + 16 and x + 24

According to the question,we have,

x + 8 + x + 16 + x + 24 = 888

3x + 48 = 888

3x = 888 - 48

3x = 840

x = 840/3

x = 280

x + 8 = 280 + 8 = 288

x + 16 = 280 + 16 = 296

x + 24 = 280 + 24 = 304
