Answer:

Let the first number be x,then it's two consecutive multiple numbers are (x+8) and (x+8+8) I.e., (x+8) and (x+16).

According to question,we have.

→ x + (x + 8) + (x + 16) = 888

→ 3x + 24 = 888

→ 3x = 888 - 24

→ 3x = 864

Now dividing both sides by 3,we get

 \frac{3x}{3} = \frac{864}{3} \\ x = 288 \\

Hence, the three consecutive multiples of 8 are 288,288+8 and 288+16 or 288,296 and 304.
