x + (x + 8) + (x + 16) = 888

x + x + 8 + x + 16 = 888

3x + 24 = 888

3x = 888 - 24

3x = 864

x= \frac{864}{3}

x = 288

x + 8 = 288 + 8 = 296

x + 16 = 288 + 16 = 304

Answer:

Let the first multiple of 8 is x

then the second multiple will be x+8

the third multiple will be x+16

ATQ, x+x+8+x+16=888

=3x+24=888

=3x=888-24=864

=x=864/3=288

The first number is 288

The second number is x+8=288+8=296

The third number is x+16=288+16=304
