Answer:

Multiples are 99, 108, 117.

Explanation:

Given,

sum of three consecutive multiples of 9 = 324

to find : the multiples

Solution:

let the multiples be 9x , 9x + 9, 9x + 18

sum of them = 324

9x + 9x + 9 + 9x + 18 = 324

27x + 27 = 324

27x = 324 - 27

27x = 297

x = 297/27

x = 11

9x = 9 × 11 = 99

9x + 9 = 99 + 9 = 108

9x + 18 = 99 + 18 = 117

so the consecutive multiples are 99, 108, 117

What are multiples?

Multiple is the product of any quantity and an integer. In other words, for the quantities a and b, it can be said that b is a multiple of a if b = na for some integer n, which is called the multiplier. If a is not zero, this is equivalent to saying that b/a is an integer.

There is one another term related to this it is called a factor.

What are factors?

Factors are the numbers which divide the given number exactly.
