Let the three consecutive natural numbers be x, (x + 1) and (x + 2).

According to the question,

x + (x + 1) + (x + 2) = 51

=> 3x + 3 = 51

=> 3x = 51 - 3

=> 3x = 48

=> x = 48 ÷ 3

=> x = 16

(x + 1) = 16 + 1 = 17

(x + 2) = 16 + 2 = 18.

Therefore, the consecutive natural numbers are 16, 17 and 18 which add up to be 51.

Answer:

x + (x+1) + (x+2) = 51

3x + 1 +2 =51

3x + 3 = 51

3x = 51 - 3

3x = 48

x = 48/3

x = 16

Finding the three consecutive numbers

x = 16

x + 1 = 16 + 1 = 17

x + 2 = 16 + 2 = 18

The three consecutive numbers are: 16 , 17 , 18.
