To form : linear equation

Given : The sum of three consecutive natural numbers is 153 .

Solution :

  • As per the given data we are given that  sum of three consecutive natural numbers is 153 .
  • We know that consecutive numbers differ by difference of 1 .
  • Therefore , let , n , n + 1 , n + 2  be three consecutive numbers .
  • Then according to given condition we represent it as :

         n + n+ 1 + n + 2 = 153 \\3n + 3 = 153 \\3 ( n + 1) = 153

Hence , 3 ( n + 1 ) = 153 is the required linear equation .
