AnswEr :-

  • The numbers are 25, 26 and 27.

Given :-

  • The sum of three consecutive natural numbers is 78.

To Find :-

  • Those numbers.

SoluTion :-

Let,

  • First consecutive number be x
  • Second consecutive number be (x + 1)
  • Third consecutive number be (x + 2)

Sum of these three consecutive numbers is 78.

According to question :-

x + (x + 1) + (x + 2) = 78

→ x + x + 1 + x + 2 = 78

→ x + x + x + 1 + 2 = 78

→ 3x + 3 = 78

→ 3x = 78 - 3

→ 3x = 75

→ x = 75/3

→ x = 25

  • 1st consecutive number => x => 25
  • 2nd consecutive number => x+1 => 25+1 => 26
  • 3rd consecutive number => x+2 => 25+2 => 27

Hence, the numbers are 25, 26 and 27.
