Let the consecutive integer be x, x-1, x-2

Total consecutive number given = 39

x +x-1+x-2 = 39

3x -3 = 39

3x = 39+3

3x = 42

X = 42/3

x= 14

so numbers are

X = 14

x-1 = 14-1 = 13

x-2 = 14 -2 =12

numbers are 14 , 13 , 12

zanharazik098: Hi, thanks for the answer and there's one small mistake in it; as 12+ 11+ 10= 33 the answer is wrong but then it's still helpful

<b><u><i>Sum of three consecutive number - 39

Let the consecutive numbers = a, a + 1, a + 2

Solution :

 =  > (a) + (a + 1) + (a + 2) = 39 \\  \\  =  > a + a + 1 + a + 2 = 39 \\  \\  =  > 3a + 3 = 39 \\  \\  =  > 3a = 39 - 3 \\  \\  =  > 3a = 36 \\  \\  =  > a =  \frac{36}{3}  \\  \\  =  > a = 12

Hence, the numbers are :

a = 12

a + 1 = 12 + 1 = 13

a + 2 = 12 + 2 = 14
