Answer:

Let the smallest of three consecutive number be x

Other two consecutive numbers are x + 1 and x + 2

The sum of three consecutive numbers is 150. Accordingly

x + (x + 1) + (x + 2) = 150

x + x + 1 + x + 2 = 150

3x + 3 = 150

3x = 150 - 3

3x = 147

x = 147/3

x = 49

The smallest of three consecutive number is 49. Thus other two consecutive numbers are

X + 1 = 49 + 1 = 50

x + 2 = 49 + 2 = 51

The three consecutive numbers are 49, 50 and 51

Answer : The three consecutive numbers are 49, 50 and 51

To check the correctness of answer, we have to take sum of three derived consecutive number. Their sum should be 150

49 + 50 + 51 = 150

150 = 150
