ANSWER :

Let one number be x.

Then, the other number will be x+2.

The third number = x+2+2=x+4

It is given that their sum is 21.

So, x+(x+2)+(x+4)=21

3x+6=21

3x=15

x=5

and x+2=7

x+4=9.

Step-by-step explanation:

let first consecutive number- x.

second- x+1

third - x+2

A. T. Q (according to question)

x+x+1+x+2=21

3x+3=21

3x=21-3

x=18/3

x= 6

therefore,

1st no. = x= 6

2nd no= x+1= 6+1=7

3rd no.= x+2= 8

checking:- sum off all numbers equal to 21

6+7+8=21
