Answer:

Hey mate,

here is your answer

Answer

Given:

The sum of three consecutive odd natural numbers is 87. What are the three numbers?

To Find:

The value of the three numbers

So,

Let the three consecutive odd natural numbers be

x,x+2,x+4

Now,

The sum of these numbers is 87

Or

x + x + 2 + x + 4 = 87

 = >  x + x + x + 2 + 4 = 87

 =  > 3x + 6 = 87

 =  >3 x = 87 - 6

 =  > 3x = 81

 =  > x =  \frac{81}{3}

 = >   x = 27

Now you see we already got the value of x which is 27 among three consecutive odd natural numbers. The rest is of finding the value of two numbers(x+2 and x+4).

Therefore:

 =  > the \: first \: odd \: number = 27

 =  > the \: second \: odd \: number = x + 2 \: or \: 27 + 2 = 29

 =  > the  \: third \: odd \: number  \: is \:  =  x + 4 \: \: or \: 27 \ + 4 = 31

Just after getting the value of x or the first number we are putting the same value and adding in 2and and 3rd number.

ans

Hence, the three consecutive odd natural numbers are 27,29 and 31.

______×________

Hope it helps you!

Thankyou

Let three consecutive odd natural numbers be x, x+2, x+4

A.T.Q.

x + x+2 + x+4 = 87

3x + 6 = 87

3x = 87 - 6

x = 27

Hence, three consecutive odd natural numbers are 27,29,31.
