Let those consecutive even numbers be a−2,a,a+2

Given,

(a−2)+a+(a+2)=156

⇒3a=156

⇒a=1563

⇒a=52

Smallest between a−2,a,a+2 is a−2

So a−2=52−2=50

Ans:- smallest of three even number sum up to give 156 is 50

Verification:- a−2+a+a+2=50+52+54=156

So our answer is correct
