Answer:

Let the first consecutive odd no. be x

Then,second consecutive odd no. = x+1

& 3rd consecutive odd no. = x+2

according to the question,

x + x + 1 + x + 2 = 51

or, 3x = 51 - 3

or, 3x = 48

or, x = 48/3 = 16

Therefore, the 1st odd no. = x = 16

2nd odd no. = x+1 = 16+1 = 17

3rd odd no. = x+2 = 16+2 = 18

Answer:

Let us assume

First number as {x}

Second number as {x+2}

Third number as {x+4}

Then , their sum =

(x + x + 2 + x + 4)

3x + 6

3x + 6 = 51

3x = 51 - 6

3x = 45

x =  \frac{45}{3}

x = 15

First number = 15

Second number = 15+2 = 17

Third number = 15+4 = 19
