Solution :

Let :

• First Consecutive Integer be x .
• Second Consecutive Integer be x + 1 .
• Third Consecutive Integer be x + 2 .

As given that , Sum of three Consecutive Integers is 40 . Hence ,

$\bf{x+x+1+x+2=30}$

3x + 3 = 30

3x = 30 - 3

3x = 27

x = 27/3

x = 9

Therefore , The Value of x is 9 .

Hence ,

First Consecutive Integer = x

= 9

Second Consecutive Integer = x + 1

= 9 + 1

= 10

Third Consecutive Integer = x + 2

= 9 + 2

= 11

Therefore , Three Consecutive Integers are 9 , 10 and 11 .

The Least Number is 9 .
