The sum of three numbers in AP is 27 and

their product is 405.

Given,

Let  the numbers in AP be, a - d, a, a + d

Sum of the numbers is 27

a - d + a + a + d = 27

3a = 27

a = 9

Product of the numbers is 405

a - d × a × a + d = 405

9 - d × 9 × 9 + d = 405

(9² - d²) × 9 = 405

(81 - d²) × 9 = 405

81 × 9 - d² × 9 = 405

729 - 9d² = 405

729 - 405 = 9d²

324 = 9d²

d² = 36

d = 6

Therefore, the common difference is 6.
