Let angle 1 be x
oTher angle will be 3x
sum of both angles is 140
3x+x= 140
4x=140
x= 140/4
x=35
one angle =x=35
other angle=3x=3*35= 105

P5922: the sum of two adjacent angles is 140 not 40
Vidhi2210: I thought its 40. I edit the answer
P5922: ok

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let angle 1 be x

Angle 2 be 3x

Hence

Angle 1 + angle 2=140°

x+3x=140°

4x=140°

x=140°\4

x=35°

Therefore

Angle 1=35°

Angle2=105°(x*3=35*3)

I hope it helps
