Given :-

  • the sum of two angles of triangle is 120°.
  • there difference is 20° .

To find :-

  • All the three angle of the triangle ?

Solution :-

Let us assume that two angles are x and y . { where x > y.}

Than,

According to question,

→ x + y = 120

→ x - y = 20

Adding both we get,

→ (x + y) + (x - y) = 120 + 20

→ x + x + y - y = 140

→ 2x = 140

Dividing both sides ,

→ x = 70°.

Putting value of x ,

→ 70° + y = 120°

→ y = 120° - 70°

→ y = 50° .

Now,

Sum of all three angles is Equal to = 180° .(By angle sum property.)

So,

70° + 50° + 3rd angle = 180°

→ 120° + 3rd angle = 180°

→ 3rd angle = 180° - 120°

→ 3rd angle = 60°.

Hence, All the three angle of the triangle are 50° , 60° and 70° .
