We know that multiple of 6 like =x+6
As you to add 6 to all multiple.to get next multiple
Let First and smallest multiple=x
Let next multiple=x+6
A/Q
x+x+6=114
2x=114-6
2x=108
x=108/2
x=54
So first number and smallest=54
second number=54+6=60
1st number=54 (smallest)
2nd number=60

Answer : 54
Step by Step Explanation :
Let the multiples be the xth, ( x+1)th multiples of 6 .
So ,
One of the multiple = 6 * x = 6x
Second multiple = 6 ( x + 1 ) = 6x + 6 .
Given ,
Sum of the multiples is 114 .
6x + ( 6x + 6 ) = 114
12x + 6 = 114
12x = 114 - 6
12x = 108
x = 9 .
Therefore ,
The multiples are 6( 9 ) , 6(9+1)
= 54 , 60
Hence , The smallest multiple is 54
Step by Step Explanation :
Let the multiples be the xth, ( x+1)th multiples of 6 .

Therefore ,
The multiples are 6( 9 ) , 6(9+1)
= 54 , 60
