The sum of two consecutive numbers is 15. The smaller number is

i) 9
ii) 8
iii) 7
iv) 6

Explain how you do it? Step by step!

⚫ Let the smaller number is x then the larger number will be x+1 ( because they are consecutive numbers)

➡ Now given.. x+x+1=15

➡2x+1=15

➡2x=14

➡x=7

So the smaller number is 7
