\mathsf{ \texttt{Let the required conxecutive }}\\ \mathsf{ \texttt{odd integers are 2x + 1 and 2x + 3 }}

Given in the question that their sum is 56.

∴ sum of ( 2x + 1 ) and ( 2x + 3 ) is 56 .

⇒ ( 2x + 1 ) + ( 2x + 3 ) = 56

⇒ 2x + 1 + 2x + 3 = 56

⇒ 2x  + 2x + 1 + 3 = 56

⇒ 4x + 4 = 56

⇒ 4x = 56 - 4

⇒ 4x = 52

⇒ x = \dfrac{52}{4}

⇒ x = 13

Therefore, required consecutive odd numbers are : -

⇒ 2x + 1 = 2( 13 ) + 1 = 26 + 1 = 27

⇒ 2x + 3 = 26 + 3 = 29

Required consecutive odd numbers are 27 and 29.
