An odd integer can be written as:
(2n+1)
If the odd integers are consecutive, then the next odd integer will be:
(2(n+1)+1)=(2n+3)

Equation:

(2n+1)+(2n+3)=124
4n+4=124
4n=120
n=30.

Our odd integers are:

2(30)+1 =61
and 2(30)+3 = 63

And of course 61+63=124.

Let the smaller number be x
Bigger number x+2
Therefore,x+x+2=124
2x=124-2
X=122/2
X=61
