Let the two odd no be x+1 and x+3.
Then,
(x+1) + (x+3) = 28
x+1 + x+3 =28
2x + 4 = 28
2x = 28-4
2x = 24
x = 12
Now the nos are x+1 =12 +1 =13
And other no is x+3 =12 +3 = 15
Hence the nos are 13 and 15.

Given
- odd number
- sum of two consecutive number is 28
To find
- the numbers
Solution
we are provided that the sum of two consecutive odd numbers is 28 and are asked to find the both numbers. Let us assume the first odd number to be x. Thus, the second odd number would be x+2 .
according to the question the sum of both the numbers is 28 , mathematically it can be written as,
x+ x+2 = 28
or, 2x + 2 = 28
or, 2x = 26
or, x = 13
therefore the first number is 13 , the second number would be x+2 = 13+2 = 15
