The sum of two consecutive odd numbers is 56. Find the numbers

and let the other consecutive odd number be x+3

given sum of those 2 numbers= 56

i.e

x+x+2=56

2x=56-2

2x=54

x=54/2

x=27

Therefore, one consecutive odd number=x=27

and the other consecutive number= x+2= 27+2= 29
