Let the number to be multiplied be 'x'

So, Smaller multiple =7x

Next consecutive multiple = 7x +7 (because table of 7)

Sum of these multiples = 189

Equation = 7x +7x +7 = 189

= 14x +7 = 189

= 14x = 189-7

= x = 182 ÷ 14 = 13

Smaller Multiple = 7 × 13 = 91

Larger Multiple = 7 × 13 + 7 = 98

•Verification - 91+98=189
