Let the first positive odd number = 2x + 1

Second positive odd number will be = 2x + 3

Sum = 2x + 1 + 2x + 3 = 144

or, 4x + 4 = 144

4x = 144 - 4

4x = 140

x = 140/4

x = 35

One of the number is 2(35) + 1 = 71

Another number = 2(35) + 3 = 73

So two numbers are 71 and 73.

Hi, the answer is:-

Let one no.= x
other no.= x+2 (odd no.)
A.T.Q.
x+x+2=144
2x+2=144
2x=144-2
x=142/2
x= 71
x+2= 71+2=73.

May it help...
