let the number be yx
so , ATQ
y + x = 16
y = 16 - x
In generalised form.
10(16 - x) + ×
160 - 10x + x
160 - 9x _____________{oeiginal number}
in reversed form.
10(x) + (16 -x)
10x + 16 - x
9x + 16 _____________{reversed number}
ATQ,
reversed number = original number - 18
9x + 16 = 160 -9x -18
9x + 9x = 160 - 16 - 18
18x = 126
x = 7
so, x = ones place = 7
then, y = tens place = (16 - x ) = (16 - 7) = 9
hence the number is 97.
hope it helps.
