The sum of two digit number and the sum obtained by the reverse of the digit is 66 if the digit of the number difference by 2 find the numbers

Answer:

Let the two digits are x and y

The number is=10x+y

Interchanging the two digits the number is=10y+x

10x+y+10y+x=66

11x+11y=66

11(x+y)=66

x+y=66/11=6

x+y=6---(1)

x-y=2---(2)

Adding these two equations we get

2x=8

x=8/2=4

x=4

Substracting these two equations we get

2y=4

y=4/2=2

y=2

The number is 10x+y=10*4+2

=40+2=42
